Hey Brendan ! I think that's the way it's set up right now actually. Icons are greyed out if there are no new posts. Try it out by clicking Mark Forums Read at the bottom of the index page.

What theme are you using? There are grey icons also for when there hasn't been any more activity in a forum/sub-forum. Are you not able to see them?

I must say, I wasn't a fan of the rounded theme because of the bottom scrollbar. But now that's been fixed the site is looking better then ever. Everyone has done a great job with the subsection imaging.

This new update has bought a clean and fresh look to sythe, and it has bought some colour to the site which is a really beautiful thing to see, thanks to all involved
