Slavery never left. But thats a whole different topic. I think its "edgy" at the most comparing it to the swastika is ridiculous imo. If i saw someone in the states with a Confederate flag outside i really wouldnt give it another thought. Mainly because they fought for more then just keeping slaves. Swastika is pretty much just a hate symbol. If i saw someone with a swastika flag in front of someones house id spit in their faces.

The flag was to represent a new nation, suceeding from the north.

i mean when you look at the american flag now, do you think of child rapist, murders etc? i mean they are americans, and they represent that flag, but does that flag represent their ideals? .... no it does not.

i mean if you are going to comment on it atleast know some history or live in south rofl.


i mean hell like the comment above back in the military years and years ago scout snipers used to put SS on their rifles, but because of hitler, and his SS troops people threw a fucking fit about it, and made these guys remove it, just because some fuckwads had it, and their ideals were wack.




moral of the story, don't let some fuck wad make up your thoughts for you, come to your own answer, tbh the flag down here is more of a symbol for fighting for what you believe in, living, and decrative over anything else.

Well not just slavery but slavery had a huge part in it.

However nowadays i see the confederate flag as southern pride, just like cubans raising their flags from a communist country o.o

 

before trying to call someone out on their intellect you may want to graduate from highschool first.

 

I can understand why people associate the flag with racism, but the confederate flag represented a whole lot more than just racism. That said though seems like most people who bare it seem the type to be a bit stereotypical /endirony.
