Off Topic Overhaul

Yeah, I'll probably end up making subforums for media as there's too much content that would go in there.

I agree, there isn't really enough to warrant sub-forums.

I voted #2 as the sub-forums would just end up dead like Syed prophesied.



N4n0, can you also take up these two suggestions about reforming the site seeing as you actually seem to want to change the site's layout for the better currently?

bring to front page has this been forgot about, and when could we get a ETA on when we can start embedding on streams/streaming section?


also i suggest putting a streaming section if its added into the other games discussion area, as the streams are more focused on gaming, and not so much the media stuff.

Voted for option #1 because at least then we can find out what games are active and what aren't and over time we can remove the non active ones and keep the ones bringing active members.

I have no preference. All the same threads will be there.

 

The live stream section was added per my suggestion, the suggestion was to allow twitch to be embedded, twitch is a gaming stream site, ergo.. i don't think i need to say it.

 

Ah ok, sorry. Didn't realise the only service we offered was Twitch.

 

not the only service, it's just the only one put in, all live streaming currentlu is disabled, but the streaming section in the op is for gaming, or atleast it's suppose to be.

 

I'm not sure I understand what you mean here. Is the streaming section supposed to be for everything but only used for gaming or.. what?

was suppose to put in the other games section, to help bring life to that section, but then this thread poped up, and has more or less clouded the original suggestion, i mean idc if there is other streaming put in, most streaming today is gaming, and i believe in belongs in the gaming section, but it's been tarnished by other peoples wants/ideas.

either way, no matter were it goes, the overhaul should be done/wip.

 

Ah ok. Well, I would suggest keeping it out of the gaming - even if it is generally used for gaming. It's not "been tarnished by other peoples wants/ideas" - they have opinions too, and are working to find the best solution for everyone.
