My entire life I've never had to work, this includes school and finding myself a job. Everything has always been given to me, my mother who kept me safe from bullies and self harm has finally started to stop giving in to me. I'm not completely cut off but I need to find a job, problem is I've never worked a day in my life and I don't have my grade 12.

I don't know where to start, I feel lost and scared about where the next few years will take me. I know my journey won't be easy, but hey we all need to start somewhere.

I'm not confident, out going or sharp but I know I can try, I know I can pull myself up and beat my anxiety. I know I need help, maybe even consoling. There's a lot I want to do, like get my drivers license, get a girlfriend maybe even save up for a car?

My story is a long one, so ill keep it brief. I'm 19, I was tormented as a teen by a group of kids, dropped out of high school went back on and off. Got lazy, started to be scared to leave my room and stayed there for 2 years by only leaving when absolutely needed to. I've never had a friend, I'm very lonely but I don't know how to talk to people.

Hit me up on Skype if you need someone to talk to buddy :)

Try some volunteer work to get your confidence up and some experience, then just take yourself to the job center and get searching.

Trust me, the first steps in to employment happen to us all and we all have our doubts and all get anxious - just go with the flow and see where you end up. I'm sure you'll do just fine dude :)

What I think you should do is first find some friends. Are you great at any sport? Do you have any hobby? It maybe sounds hard but you can do it! :)

Also, you are not alone. When you write about your mother, it's sounds like she is a really great mother. A mother is a mother, but also a friend.

Like RvmRS2 said, hit me up on Skype (Skype: sotwnoz.sotwnoz) if you want to talk. :)

You guys are nice, thank you. I should try volunteering, maybe at a veterinarian office? I like working with animals, and I know you need a certain amount of volunteer hours to become a veterinarian assistant.

I'll start looking around, maybe by this time next year I'll be finally working hard on something that I can dream about and set a few solid goals.

Definitely go back and get your high school diploma. You are by no means too old that going back to high school would be awkward. If your anxiety is really bad see a doctor about possible medication.

Great plan! :)

I tried adult education this year, I enjoyed the smaller classroom and support from the teachers that I've never had before. Although I just stopped, I got stuck in my rut again and never went back since October. People frighten me, I'm not sure how to approach other people my age and when they want to speak with me I draw blanks and have no idea what to say or even how to act. I get very nervous and feel like such a weirdo like I don't belong or deserve to be there. My entire life has been a game of solitaire and for a long time that's the way I choose to live telling myself it's okay. Now that I'm at the age where I can go to the bar, drink have fun and go crazy I'm stuck, I wish I never had this fear or anxiety. Maybe if I hadn't been afraid I wouldn't of let those kids get the best of me, I'd probably be graduated and in my third year of university, who knows but thinking about what could have been really makes me depressed. I'm sad that I don't have any friends, I'm sad that I've spent every birthday alone ever since I was a child but most of all I'm sadden by the loss of time I've wasted in my bedroom. I just keep telling myself that there's always tomorrow and yesterday is a thing of the past.

Personally I have a lot of issues with being out and about in crowds etc, it comes from some other things I suffer from, PTSD etc etc. I got a simple prescription of beta blockers to chill me out and surprisingly something as little as that worked, sometimes the placebo effect is enough I guess.

Finish highschool bud, surround yourself with real friends who will make you feel comfortable you gotta start building your social skills after your tough time, If you need to go out, try volunterring at a kids camp or something kids prob wont make you feel threatened so you can start there and build up, once your fine get your high school finished up and you can move on from there. You'll be fine everyone has hard times buddy, gonna work out for you in the end

I honestly recommend working out. It's probably the only reason I have any self confidence in myself. It's also an easy topic to talk about with other guys as any guy takes the chance to boast about how much they bench exc. Find yourself a hobby. Collecting, legos, whatever it may be. Little hobbies such as that can give you a bit of direction. Look more into yourself, find what YOU want to do in life and go from there.

Go back to highschool Get your diploma or GED. IF you ever need to talk add my on skype.

Stay away from drugs I guess.

Set goals for each week.

I suffer from anxiety in crowds but seriously all I say is fuck em.

The big one is weekly goals imo. Accomplish something within x amount of time (My goal for december this year is to get 200 subscribers and 75-100,000 total video views).

And be nice to others, you'll get respect back.

Hit up a pm if you need anything.
