Price Check Reform.

Change the price check section.

1) Add Post Count
Adding post count would make it more active and get multiple opinions, however it would also in most people's eyes cause a problem with people spamming prices. That's where point 2 comes into it. If there was a template the posts would be forced to be constructive, breaking that would result in an infraction like any other sections rule breaking policys.

2) Create a price check template
For instance

3) Require stat and quest pictures
It'd make a huge difference on full price checks, it'd also be a lot more accurate




Thoughts?

 

I would agree with Point 2 and 3.

Regarding Point 1:
Why would someone be active in the price check section if he or she doesn't have anything to sell? The main point of the Price Check section is just to check how much this/that cost that's all.
Adding Post Count towards that section is not needed at all. Don't see a significant use for that part.
If you know, you won't need to ask. If you don't know, you can ask to prevent being charged at a high price or selling too low.

Just my point of view.

 

If there was a template I'm pretty sure most members wouldn't post if there was no postcount, especially when it's a constructive post like I stated. A lot of EoC accounts are up for sale and soon a lot of 07 PKers will be, so it's a good place for members with knowledge in the market to start posting their opinions.

 

I feel like it will just end up as people farming post counts.

 

If they have to post reasoning as well as links to other accounts that have sold in a similar price range, they will have easier sections to farm than that.

No support. It's fine as it it now. Only thing that annoys me is people posting prices when they're not even sure if it's accurate/close.

 

post count no way. would just encourage ppl to spam random numbers; leading to spammed post count and inaccurate price checks.

i'd support pictures being added though.

 

Don't think many people have read it, they said that post count would cause normal numbers. That's why you would HAVE to implement the template as well as the PC, as then it'd be the opposite of spam, and the template not being filled in properly would need an infraction.

 

I don't really like the idea of getting post counts in Price Check forum.

For point 2, I would love to see it implement. At the moment, its just numbers and estimate guesses with close to no evidence.

 

1. No, it will cause spam.

2. Templates aren't needed. People won't follow them because it's not like, "Post with the template or no one's going to price check your account!"

3. Erm, that's on the poster. There's no reason to force someone to post the pics of quests. If they don't it's only devaluing their account, no harm done to others.
