Maybe 'Sythe' could add a feature where it can only be seen inside the spam forum, because if his main objective is to bring users to the site then surely having these ranks is a stupid idea..

 

In all seriousness, its just a little picture. It doesn't effect anyone. Would be good if you could turn them on and off tho.

 

If you PM'ed an admin can you get your minirank/ranks removed at your choice? Like certain ones?

As these mini ranks are rather new, there will certainly be a period of testing it and all. Give Matt more time to perfect this system.

None of the miniranks are detrimental, they are stupid inside type jokes. Thats it. If you care enough to avoid them dont post in the obviously minirank oriented threads in the spam forum (thats where they come from outside of the automated ones)

 

They've definitely lost their appeal. Mini-ranks were meant to be incentives and as rewards, some fun mini-ranks is cool too. But they are getting out of hand. It's ridiculous how many spam forum ranks there are, some of which blatantly offensive.

 

I agree on your point that there are an absurd amount of SF miniranks being given out, but thats a moot point and has nothing to do with the OP.

The ranks themselves arent offensive, You would have to be a total pussy to be offended by an internet explorer logo, piture of a cartoon characters head, a ribbon ect.

Pretty sure if the names were changed everyone would stop being rustled.

Why do you find the need to troll everyone? There is clearly someone upset by the ranks and they have the right to express their displeasure. Do you think it makes you look tough because you can say nigger, and fight me in real life and swear at people? It pretty much just makes you look uneducated. So why don't you come back when you have a valid argument that doesn't include fight me in real life or nigger.

 

I can understand your concern with the mini-ranks. Sythe really is two forums in one. The community itself is very 4-chan-esque, whereas the market deals with serious trades involving real money. The two can be quite polarizing.

I'd support Miniranks not appearing in market forums, if that's possible. This way, we keep them away from the professional area of the site, while continuing them on all the forums where they are used / appreciated.

I have a valid point, the miniranks aren't offensive in and of themselves it's the names of them that are. A small cartoon face, a rainbow, a ribbon ect are not solely offensive but when you hover over them and see things like "homosex" and "gohan has aids" I could see that being a bit offensive. I wasn't trolling with this response, I'm serious.

 

A far more professional approach and will keep everyone happy. Please do this.
