Some of us have been the better part of 5 days for avatar changes and nothing. I even pm'ed corey i think and he didnt bother but he did help me with theprayerkid using my photo so thanks.

Since this is the 2nd time i've had to make a thread for this:
Why can't you:
-Appoint a non-staff member powers to upload and change these themselves? Like a "Donations assistant" to matthew?
(Edit: Like why cant TBT, grave, limesoda, all the people who take donations for matthew also do avatar changes as well?)
-Make it your personal buisness to do at least 1 a day from the thread, even if its right before bed?
-Let us change them ourselves in donation centre

I understand deezy only sythes on his phone so he can't do it. I also understand youve lost tmoe and blupig but better make this thread sooner than later

The ability to change the avatar sizes for everyone to do would include messing about with the usergroups.

Changing a person's avatar is a Global power, and you need to be at least a Global+ to do it. I doubt Sectionals could do it unless some modifications were made. Plus I think it's better Globals+ only have the power to do it.

Lastly, just PM another Global if it's taking too long, or just ask them to go through the thread.

Which would have got the thread done. I never see requests build up because I rarely read the donor forum.

 

Bold 1 : Would require a different group to be made methinks, I believe that people who have access to donation perms are programmed into the center, not into a forum group which would be needed to edit profiles.

Bold 2 : How about no. Mods should NEVER be forced to do something everyday, so coming on just to do that one thing a day is dumb, especially if they can't get on sythe one day, they shouldn't have to do it.

Bold 3 : Yes. I'd love this. A request section similar to the UI's and CR's, however it would be the same speed as the 3-4 day UI, but hopefully it'd be shorter than the slowslowslow CR's

 

We don't do them because we don't see them. Just PM the globals if it gets built up.

You didn't PM me, or at least I don't remember.

I'll take another look through my PMs before I stand by that though.

EDIT: Yeah, you didn't PM me. The only PM you had was the one about Thatguy, which I handled.

 

Actually I'm away due to my dad having a stroke (3rd one and he's in prison) so I told staff ill be Mia for a week or so if things turn south. Now I try to come on and at least check my pms.

 

Mine never changed either after I donated, it's not a big deal.

 

Then request one in the thread.

 

Oh I know I wasn't complaining, I just haven't gotten around to it.

 

Just a heads up, Tmoe wasn't a global, unless you were referring to his being a community mod. Can community mods change avators ? If so I'll be on top of it from now on.

Also just because you PM'd Corey doesn't mean they'll instantly be done. For instance I receieve lots of PMs asking for title changes but I'm at school browsing on my phone and can't get to those changes right away and do them later when I have time.

However I'll agree that 5 days is a bit of a long time, just try to remember that trying to be on top of bans, spam reports, scam reports, and a bunch of other stuff, staff don't always remember to check the avatar request thread .

 

No, community mods cannot change avatars.

 

Sorry Corey! Was confused a bit, i actually sent it to mohassa because he was online and he plum forgot or something more devious but clash was nice enough to change it for me so i know how to jump the queue next time.

 

The issue has to deal with access to the moderator control panel; I don't think it's user groups. Matthew could make a separate entry point, but I don't see it as that big of an issue.

 

Possibly, although I don't think sectionals should be able to change user's avatars and signatures. I think it should remain as Global+. Plus like you said, it's not even that big of an issue.

Just PM a Global if a yet to be updated avatar is bothering you.

 

Ask Mohtasa, he's fairly quick with these stuff when he is online and he did mine!

 

Why not just give avatar perms to sectionals.

 

I did, i screenshooted the post above. Ever since i left feedback for him he's been ignoring every post or pm i make. Its immature.

It's okay though we can lock this thread; i'm sure there are gonna be some promotions to global soon because maybe 5 staff have left in the past month.
