[14th May] EliteSwitch v4 is Finally Here!

Curious, what languages do u know?

 

Its a small bug, but theres a delay in the calculator buttons. Like if I wanted to put in 11, I would have to wait 3 seconds or so inbetween mouseclicks. A little of a hassle but that's all I can think of right now.

 

vb6, vb.net, little bit of C#, PHP, HTML, CSS & Java

I was thinking of a minor change to Eliteswitch. Instead of directly loading the game page, have it load to the Runescape home page. That way we can switch languages to search for an empty world if we were wishing to say, kill Frosts.

 

I can't do that because that's how i get money for EliteSwitch (through the ads on the page that displays there) however i can make an option near the "Play RS" button that will select which language to load a world in. (so you can load german worlds etc)

 

Ah I see. That makes sense. Don't go out of your way to do it if it would be troublesome.

 

Not sure if this is possible/legal but adding a Pandora interface would make it extra great! The internet radio that creates personal stations would make elite switch a more personal program better suited to the individual.

Umm, i will be creating and mp3 player and online radio component soon. Hopefully you can just browse to your selected pandora radio station. As i can't access that radio station because of the country i'm in, therefore i can't retrieve the html to parse it etc.

 

Hey man, how're things going for the official release?
I'll post and edit the news up this weekend sometime. When i get chance, you'll have to pm me the new ftp details and i'll try make some decent user images up for the news page.
As for the irc, if you want a hand setting it up etc' give us a shout.

 

I still need to get a proper news page going (just gonna dig around and see if i can find the old template to save alot of time).

This is the following list of things i want to get complete before i release the official version 4.0

• Settings system (1%)
• Add GFX to EliteSwitch's buttons (5%)
• News page up & running (site related) (90%)
• Download counters (site related) (0%)

Hopefully within a week or 2

As for the site access, i'll have to pm you details of how to do it. It's quite different to access than any site i've used before.

Is the final (10%) for the news page, the old template? (Where each text box was separated by orange etc'?)

Just checked the news page now (/news.php). Have you remembered how to stop the news from repeating? Or is some revision needed?

 

Nah, it's just making user images.
I should have some up by tomorrow afternoon.
Also i just fixed the news repeating, but it still shows the header of the opposite news. Can't do much about it, and i will be re-making that news page when i get the chance. It's just a temporary for now so i can get the official release out.

Almost got the settings done now as well, just have to implement them into every form_load event.
Getting the GFX is going be the biggest bitch, i hate doing GFX , takes too long.

I'll work on getting you access to the server when i get this release out, coz you need three 3rd party programs to access the site, it's pretty damn complicated lol.

 

Lol,i bet it's easier to break out of prison.

What GFX are you needing for the buttons? Just icons related to RS? If so hit us up with a list and i'll get a few done for you if you want.

Of course it is clean. Also, Covey, another little thing you could add in the next update is the ability to scroll in the notepad?

It's a minor flaw but rather annoying as well.
