PayPal Alternatives

What are some solid PayPal like alternatives? Has anyone heard anythin of Amex's Serve?

 

No i haven't heard of Amex's serve but some good alternatives are the following :
- Moneybookers
- Alertpay
- WesternUnion
- Moneypak

Have you ever used PlayerAuctions? I used that as an alternative - it's slightly safer than Paypal on its own (you use methods like Paypal to purchase) and confirmation has to be given on delivery. As long as you video your trades you shouldn't lose much.

Bank Transfer, pretty much the safest you can get.

 

There are a few bank transfer incidents.

Mail is probably the safest aside from the obvious getting lost in mail risk.

 

Never had any problems accepting paypal payments via playerauctions.com

 

If you want an alternative in terms of 100% non reversible, once you have the cash, I'd go for WU/Mail.

 

Serve is alright, it's just fairly unpopular and requires a relatively high amount of personal information to activate an account. I personally recommend playerauctions

 

I use MoneyPak

 

Playerauctions. That or w/u are the best methods IMHO, as cash can get lost in the mail (unless it's tracked), and moneypak is pretty safe also I've heard.

 

I think 2checkout is pretty popular as a payment processor if you'd like.

 

2Checkout is just a payment gateway, it's also not easy to get approved for.
