How many of you have ever been tempted to, or actually committed the act of cheating on your significant other? How many have you ever been on opposite end of the equation, and been cheated on?

For the sake of argument, how many of you have ever cheated on anything (except a person), why did you do it, and how did it make you feel?

Just curious.

I've never been tempted to cheat on a partner, but I have been cheated on.

As for anything other than that (which I'm presuming you mean), I cheated a grade in my French exam when I was 14 by getting my brother to sit it for me. I felt really bad because I got one of the best grades in the class and other people who obviously deserved praise didn't get it. I actually still feel a bit guilty. But I couldn't imagine how much trouble I'd have been in had I been caught. I did it because I didn't want to fail and be moved down, as everyone knows it can be embarrassing being in the bottom class, so I paid my brother to do it for me. It wasn't life affecting, just a stupid exam, I don't even do French any more, so it probably wasn't worth the risk. I probably wont ever cheat something again though, wasn't worth feeling paranoid the whole time.

I'm pretty sure everyone's cheated *something* at least once in their lives and most feel regret for a long time.

I've cheated on a lot of stuff, I've never cheated on a person though. I don't really regret much though.

It's gone both ways, cheated on and cheated on someone. I've never cheated in school, though.

That's kind of backwards, but okay!

No way. End of discussion. I have eyes for one person only.

If you're in a relationship and you want to go outside of the relationship then end the fucking relationship..

You obviously don't care about someone that much if you're willing to cheat on them.

I've never done it and really hope I never do. Why be in a relationship if it's not enough to keep you satisfied? If anyone cheated on me I would be absolutely heartbroken. It's such a shitty thing to do to someone else, I'd much rather be dumped than go out with someone who doesn't love me enough to be faithful.

This actually sums up my opinion perfectly. If you can cheat on someone then why don't you just completely end the relationship?

If you were going to cheat then clearly you shouldn't be in that relationship in the first place, after wheeling/dating a girl for a while you no longer have intrest in them as you first did when you first were together. In my opinion if they cheat on you, you should cheat back. It's clearly not going to hurt them because they don't care that much and maybe they just don't want to end it on you for your own sake.

To sum this all up if you cheat on someone or got cheated on, no matter how much you think you guys are in love you guys clearly aren't meant to be together.

Personally I could forgive if I were cheated on, humans (especially males) are essentially hard-wried to have intercourse with multiple mates. The monogamist attitude placed on us by society is unnatural, and can lead to the destruction of relationships for minor fuck-ups.

I think more people should practice forgiveness or open relationships more often to beat the stress. If my partner had brought this up that they had intercourse with another man, I might be irritated, but if I really loved her then I'd be willing to forgive.

I wouldn't be able to forgive them but I'm far too nice to throw their shit into the streets. I'm too nice for my own good.

Every situation is different but yeah. I'm a little too nice to throw out their shit. If they refused to leave I would though.

I've never cheated on someone but I've been cheated on. The worst as it gets, it was my best friend and my boyfriend of three years. Not the best feeling ever. As soon as I found out, he was completely gone to me.

I've seen videos on my facebook of ex's who left their stuff at their old partners house getting burned, that's a bit cruel.. I'm sure you would show some remorse. If she was living with you it would be pretty serious, even if they cheated on you you'd probably still care for her.

I'd never cheat, I think if you're going to sleep around, just don't get I to a relationship in the first place. I've been cheated on by an ex, she's an ex for that reason, I had no problem with breaking up with her and I've made a hell of a lot of the lads in uni go no where near her.

What if they felt remorse? Would you still dump them like garbage?

Exactly. Drunk mistake perhaps? What justifies sex with another as cheating but kissing another as a slap on the wrist?

And to the people who say, "Why not just end the relationship"? Um...doesn't it seem obvious...? They cheated because they want more sex - relationships also mean (usually) consistent sex. Moar sex, basically.

Just a word of advice, only forgive to a point. You cannot make her feel like it's okay, it could make her think that it's okay to do it once or twice more if she believes you'd still forgive her, can't always let them off the hook.

It could mean that, but others just see a different girl that they want to have a one night stand with. I'm not really sure how to explain it, but if you were done for the day, could change your mind.
