Will this combat beta actually come through ? IMO its horrible and PvP as we know it will never be the same

The beta has already been released, I think you mean the EoC?

Well, it's scheduled to be released sometime soon(ish?). I think it's being released as RS 3. There's a whole thread devoted to discussion about it, can be found here:
