I hate all professional American football teams. College and high school are respectable, but I dont pick a "favorite team," I only watch to see the game.
The athletes are far too overpaid, and the typical idiotic consumer is the reasoning. People with "favorite teams" who go and buy a bunch of overpriced and mass produced clothing and such make no sense to me. Showing team pride? You're not a part of that team... So you were born near where they practice? So what? They're not even from around that area.
Professional American football is a joke. The lack of professionalism and over commercialism destroys it.

Could say the same with college football. There are students that get into prestigious colleges with a 3.0 GPA while others have been working their asses off since freshmen year of high school to get that 4.5GPA in order to be admitted to their dream college. People buy several college hoodies/sweaters every year and dozens of other college football clothing - that is mass produced and doesn't make you any more "part of the team." As for being overpaid, college athletes are overpaid. Over the course of their time at the college they pay nothing for their education or very little and everything is provided to them. I don't see how you can condemn the NFL and support college leveled football at the same time when they're near identical. Coming from a D1 committed soccer player - the amount of free shit they give you because you play a sport at their school is ridiculous. Well over a few thousands dollars and I'm not even attending the school yet.

Dude Really do you need a hug? To me your post sounds like a sad story where you used to root for a team and then your hopes and dreams got destroyed. Did you think for a moment that 95% of the usa roots for a football team. People Over Seas root for a football hense why we play one game a year in london. Also May I add that no it may not be "our" Team yeah we don't play on them but we as fans keep the nfl going. Without us there is no income... Which means no nfl. You also should realize it's called representing where you came from...You not really sure why you have to bring all this negative energy around but it kind of sound likes you need a hug bro. Even re reading your post makes me sick lol. Why don't you tell america how messed up football is bro... bottom line don't bring your negative energy around here... we don't want it.

Lions are in the bears division and if you guys had players that weren't getting fined every week you would be decent.. honestly your players just bother me... Especially Sui. He is a dirty player and Stafford gets injured all the time

It's an opinion on an intellectual web forum, so yes, my opinion is wanted by other individuals.
As for "used to root for a team now they suck," that it proposterous. As for NFL, my family likes the steelers. I have never bought anything, watched a game, (other than to spend some time with my parents, but they usually yell and scream like it actually matters and it's obnoxious) and certainly never attended one. As I did with religion, I stepped back and made the educated choice before doing what the rest of society does, and just listens to their nearest alike demographic which is pathetic and ignorant.

Shall - I wasn't much educated on the topic, thanks for letting me know.

@Blade It's not about that your right your opinion is wanted but in a positive way this is a thread for people to come and talk about the joys of football and their favorite team. Not to be a downer and talk negative.

That's like making a thead titled "the joys of genocide" and gEtting upset if someone were to post against murder. Ya know? Extreme example bit same point. Just trying to share an opinion. Ever think about what I said yourself?

    Vikings and Bears all day.

Live just outside Detroit and can't stand the Lions. I was born into a lions loving family, but I hate stafford, calvin, and our running backs with a passion.
