    The Chicken or the Egg?

This is stupid. Not even a debate topic in reality. You're all making either the same or points that make no sense/unrelated.

    The Chicken or the Egg?

I never understand why is this such a big topic, it was obvious the chicken scientifically. The first proteins on earth were formed from fatty acid and then evolved into a chicken which then proceed to lay eggs, to be more specific.

The first protein basically first became a simple single celled bacteria or whatever you liked to call it, after a bunch of shit it goes to land. Bit of transformers and boom boom, a group or specie of animal then proceed to slowly become more like a Chicken. Because the fact that there is no way a Protein first become a egg, the answer is obviously chicken in scientific term.

    The Chicken or the Egg?

It doesn't work that way. The biological process for egg laying animals doesn't work that way. The chicken isn't a millions of years old species like say a crocodile. That means there was some sort of precursor species that would eventually evolve into a fowl. Therefore the egg would have to come first.

How could a chicken come first? Where did it come from if there is no several million old chicken species? Did a chicken just suddenly pop into being?

    The Chicken or the Egg?

i'd say the chicken came first. There had to be some sort of primeval chicken or (type of bird) that came first.

    The Chicken or the Egg?

    depends.

If you believe in the Bible and such, the chicken cuz god made animals first..

If you believe in evolution, The egg will always come first because whatever chickens evolved from obviously had eggs. So in order to see that the organism mutated into what we now call a chicken, it would have to hatch from the egg first. So the egg was already there..

    It goes both ways.

    The Chicken or the Egg?

This is stating that the egg came first because of evolution. A chicken was not simply "popped" into existence. That's not how the world works, and that's not how humans became either. There were more primitive versions of us that were not technically "human". We eventually evolved into what we are today. Don't think that evolution is over, either. We are still evolving. Babies have a concept of math, when math has only existed for a countable amount of years.

In short, the egg came first.

EDIT: sorry for posting after this thread not being posted on for so long, I just noticed Heads's post, and later realized the post before his was on 09-04-2012

The chicken came first, due to common sense.
