Got scammed, how do I win the PP dispute?

Long story short: I got scammed by another Sythe user. I bought a runescape account for 140$ and he recovered it.

I'm going to file a dispute against him on paypal, but I'm afraid that when he mentions that it was a sale of virtual goods, paypal will close the dispute in his favor.

What can I do to win the dispute? Any help/input appreciated.

 

Start by writing a scam report. Can't really help you with the paypal part.

There's no guarantee you will win the dispute, and to be honest I've seen disputes (including my own) be shut down instantly as soon as they read "virtual goods". Chances are it's not even his PayPal account, it could be a stolen one.

 

I'd take this to the market lounge. The big gold traders will know how to deal with this.

I'm sorry for what happened to you. This had happened to me years ago when I would sell supers from Habbo. I kept threatening the guy that I would sue him lol. I ended up getting my money back on PP

 

You wont win. If he tells paypal that its a virtual transaction, the money will be given to him on the spot. Unless you used a debit/credit card, you can call them up and tell them what happened. Then you will most likely win.

 

Im pretty sure it is possible to win, aren't there other people that file Paypal disputes in virtual trades?
