Me & a Friend both got hacked. Could it be RSbot?

Hello. Last Night me and a friend I met on Runescape (We've known each other for over 7 years) both got hacked. He says they left 8m on the GE, but took over 200m. On my account I was left with 750k cash, amulet of fury and DFS but my Bandos Chestplate and Bandos Tassets and whip are gone. We've both used RSbot. He runs on a Mac & I run a PC. The only things we have in common on our PC's are facebook, sythe, runescape and RSbot.

His password was known by a couple people but his pin was NOT. My info has ONLY been entered on the RS website and on RSBot and the info is NOT saved on my computer. The username, password and bank pin are all written down on a piece of paper I keep on my computer desk. So the only thing Ive entered my RS username/password and Pin number that he has also entered his on is RSBot (and RS). This leaves RSBot to the only thing I can think of that could have both of our usernames,passwords and bank pins.

So my question is:
Has RsBot (from powerbot.org) ever been known to hack people?

 

I've personally been hacked and I believe it was powerbot, did you have your username/password/bank pin saved on the client?

 

not my pin, but I did have my user/pass was saved.

My friend says NONE of his info was saved on rsbot. He only logged in manually in the RSBot window.

 

Powerbot can record the pin and save it.
Massive hacking fests have happened in the past.

 

It could only hack people if you used scripts not on the SDN. They are a business and will not hack people, when scripts are put on the SDN they are checked thoroughly so they do not possess any malicious content and are good scripts. Run virus scans instead.

RSBot dont hack people, the people who code the scripts, mainly free ones, input malicous lines of code into the scripts that will forward your details onto them so they can rob you.

 

There have been cases where people were hacked by Rsbot and everything was taken off their account, so maybe you did as well if you downloaded the script off the script section and not SDN

How do you know which scripts are from the SDN?

 

When you go to choose which script you want just click the browse option and it will take you to the SDN and those scripts are safe

 

Ye it wouldn't be Powerbot themselves. Run a virus check and be more careful on the scripts you use.
