Reporting?

I look at this as both parties are at fault. Pockets honestly should have videotaped him opening the package for his own protection, and Fantasy should have taken the time to properly package and get insurance the item being mailed. At this point we're looking at a giant "he said/she said" type of thing. Some further input on this would be appreciated.

It was an envelope with a rip in the side that the ring would have fit through. Video recording would have done nothing to exonerate me, because if I were scamming, I could have just taken it out of the envelope first. I could have even just sent myself an empty envelope.

Also, the fact that he lied about the amount and the date he sent it both point to this likely being an effort to extort me. It's also strange that he accepted my offer, even though it was $22 below his highest.

Hmm. I find it suspect that he claims you've got $300 worth of his stuff. I really don't want to make any final decisions on this without some further staff input though.

 

I will just go to the address as stated, and confront him, and his parents. I know we agreed on $80, but was a $300 ring. Nevertheless I guess I have to deal with this myself, seeing as nothing will happen via Sythe.
