Make it a member, if the account have never been membs jagex is having a promotion that membership is $2.75 in aus. Would be less risky and better for you.

 

i transferred santas through this. It's easy, simple, worth it with minimal risk. Just move to the very edges of the map. People tend to remain in the middle.

 

It depends what the item is honestly, if its just a santa or a mask you might as well just ues the red portal method but if its something like a phat its really not worth the small risk of dc'ing right then and I'd just buy an upgrade.

 

Not sure if this has been mentioned, just skimmed through the posts, but couldn't you just sell the item and continuously die with smaller increments? Or even larger increments and get it done in 3-4 deaths?

Not sure if that'd be risking getting caught, but just an idea.
