I'm hoping when Jagex decides to discontinue them, they make them un-tradable as well. Then good game to whoever hoarded a ton of them. ^^

 

Nah, they planned on them being another rare, once they're discontinued after Summer. The huge timeframe in which they are obtainable on the wheel is the main thing that will hold them back from being a 'higher up' type rare though.

 

It'S going to be worth a ton of money.

1. it's the first rare off the sof
2. Duping is gone pretty much. So even there is a a lot in the game still not as many as say Santas or masks even Phats. Every item pre 2004 had the shit duped out of it. Take Party hats thousands were duped yet they are still worth a ton.

 

I wouldn't get your hoped up. There will be a huge supply and I would think that Runescape would die before these get extremely high in value.

 

That's right but I think until 50m maybe it will rise? It's now 5.1m..

 

Lol Fish Mask are just ugly as hell...i usually see the noobs levels 70s-90s in G.E talking about how Fish masks are going to be a rare item in future...even if they do become expensive i doubt runescape will be alive

 

Their street price is close to 10 though, and summer isnt over yet.

The only reason they're going up so fast is the fact that everyone is hoarding them, because they hope they'll go up way more. It'll end some time soon, perhaps the minute they actually get discontinued.

 

my thought is that because everyone thinks it will shoot up after its removed from sof, it will jump to like 25m the day after summer and then drop down again

 

They're still shooting up right now, because there are members holding onto 100's of them and at once these certain members will drop them on the GE and that price will eventually drop down again.

 

The current price is a bubble, a massive bubble. They're several thousand of these on the market, and probably more than that probably tens of thousands possibly even hundreds of thousands. When people tag something as rare it gets an artificial price boost that isn't linked to the actual market. It is kind of like the opposite of panic selling.
