Loan?

I speak basically no English, and what I type is what comes from Google translator. I moved to America, got a job 8 months ago, continued working at it, I am still here, but lack some money. I tried to talk to my bank people, but they do not speak German or Russian so no help there. Can anyone explain to me how to get a loan from your bank? I make $1400 a month, starting money here in America for me.

I need about $5000 more for this car I am wanting to purchase.

Yes. I get tired of riding my bike to work for almost a year now, and a car would be best. My work is 15 miles away from where I live.

I tried writing it on paper, then the banker says something I am unfamiliar with, so I have no response. Guess I can ask my work to lend me money, if they will.

 

If you really need a car just for getting back and forth from work I am sure you can find something reliable for $1500-$2000 on craigslist then save up for something nicer. You don't want to get caught up with a loan with high interest rates.

 

If you have friends or family who speak English/German/Russian, why not have them accompany you to the bank. If not, I recommend check online to see what options they have for foreign-language speakers.
