Wow Jagex..

Im pretty pumped on the new crossbow seems to be good for pvm shit for pvp. I dont quite have stats to where i think qbd is doable atm but i look forward to it, CCB is still better for pvp so its not rendered useless by any means. They need more high level weapons that arent dungeoneering related.. more variety

 

It's better than a royal cbow. Even an addy crossbow is better than a royal cbow when it comes to a PVP situation. The point is CCBs aren't used for PVP situations unless ragging, they aren't a good weapon. You cannot rely on them once level 110+.

I agree completely with this ^.
Besides you know something will be better than the rapier/cls eventually it has to happen. Its what keeps people playing becuase they want to get the best thing possible. When the best thing gets harder to get, they play longer.

 

ok sorry but i see this as only you complaining about the fact that you arent rich. TBH i consider myself "rich" with about 1b and yet im lazy for having money? NO i have 90 dung and 2100 total and im glad this xbow came out because us "lazy" people can buy it. maybe in your spare time try some staking or something that's risky with your money because thats how u make money on runescape.

This is true, but only if you assume that everybody obtains their money in illegitimate ways. It certainly may seem so if you interact with people on Sythe consistently, as we are a cheating community after all.

You have to keep in mind that the hundreds of thousands of RuneScape players out there that make up the majority, struggle to obtain money through legitimate ingame methods. Making money legitimately is quite hard and can take a lot of time, and so sometimes it is actually easier and/or less time consuming to get something for free that you can earn (like a chaotic weapon) rather than having to pay big money for it.

I agree with your opinion though when it comes to the rich RuneScape players, especially those who do not earn their income through legitimate methods. I have never been a rich RuneScape player myself, and so it is hard not to resent those who can spend a small fraction of their wealth to obtain an item that is better than one the rest of us have to grind for hours upon hours to obtain.

I still stand by my original comment though, that the Chaotic Crossbow is still a great alternative to the new one, and especially because it is still the best PVP crossbow available

 

If it's for PVM only, why not?
