College or Military?

Please note Ive been dating her for 3 years.

If I go to college I will be able to see my girlfriend daily, but Ill be 40k in debt. Plus I dont have a chance of losing her.

If I go to the military I will have 25k in the bank and college paid for, but at what price? Losing the women I love?

This is difficult to choose! Time is running short and I have not made a decison. Im leaning more on the college side so I can see her etc.

Thanks for the help if you post.

So let's say that you choose your girlfriend. Two things can happen
1. You'll break up and you'll still be in 40k debt
2. You two will get married and you'll have more than 40k to worry about.

I'd choose the military; half the world are women.

If your girlfriend really loved you, she'd wait for 3 years.

If you and her are truly in it for the long haul she will stick by you even through your military tenure.

College. Find something you can enjoy academically and be with the person you love. Work to keep a high GPA and after a year apply for scholarships and the debt will be cut. I hope you guys stay together, but if something happens, college has more girls to get to know. Knowledge is power, and Good Luck!

To be honest College is way more beneficial... You can become whatever you want rather millitary is just one job and if you end up not wanting to continue you wont be able to Find a better job :)

ROTC at college? you'll get the best of both options. youll have your oppertunity to train for the military while going to class, having it paid for, developing your relationship with your girlfriend, and having a substainable job later once you graduate.
In my oppinion rotc would be most benefitial because you will have 4 years to possibly have a chance with finding out wether you would like to marry this women and it will give you a better chance standing in the military. it will improve your salary as well as give you more oppertunities to move up in the rankings.

Definitely college. You don't want to join the military straight after high school and go in as the lowest rank there is. You can complete an ROTC program or graduate from a service academy, go in as a lieutenant and make much better money. If it were me though, I would just go to a regular college and skip the military.

UWotM8?
A long distance relationship will make or break any relationship you have meaning if you really are compatible with each other and love each other you will make it work, if not your relationship will crumble as it was eventually going to..

This is an extremely tough decision to make mate, I feel for you :(

Now I am a huge romantic and would love to tell you to go to college & pursue the girl. But you have to think realistically about how you feel about her, and what the chances are of remaining together. It could be very disappointing if you ended up breaking up, as you could feel that you wasted your opportunity to join the military for a relationship that ended up failing anyways.

What are the chances of joining the military later on if you decided to? If you really do love this girl and you want to be with her, maybe it would be worth going to college, so that you could be with her AND pursue a career that you are interested in. If you are able to basically join the military at ANY time, then you could always do this and use the military as your "Plan B" if your relationship fails. I don't know the specifics of the situation though, so this is something you need to ask yourself and think about.

Real love can be hard to find, and really makes life worth living. It is a complete shame to lose that, and so I can understand that you want to choose a path where you can still be with this girl. You need to do some soul searching though and really evaluate your feelings for her, and ask yourself just how much do you love her? Because as important as love is in life, your life and your future are just as important, and should not be tossed aside as if they don't matter. The last thing I would suggest is to also talk it over with your girlfriend. If she truly loves you, then she would allow you to choose whatever path is best for you, and would stick with you no matter what.

Good luck mate, I hope everything works out for you :)

Love has no price...college atleast you see her often and military is a risk if you go out their and fight hope you make the right decision and keep with her
