Yes but the problem with the private servers is the fact that you don`t get the good old community back and it is a lot easier to level up.

I Prefered the days when you could go into the wildy, not get 1 itemed, not get rushed and just fight.. everyone used whip/dds with the odd d scim.
They were the days for both pures and mains. Now its just prod galore with they wide range of weapons these days, main reason i dont play as PKing is terrible, People attempting to hybrid green drags, Runescape is nothing like it used to be, never will be..

Its not the game that has changed, its the community. Time changes people.
