What makes it a wipe over a perm ban when RWT?

Under what situation would you receive a wipe? Under what situation would you receive a perm ban?

Level 3 mules seem to always just get perm banned. I have a level 11 with only 30 prayer as a stat and it has received 4 wipes, never a perm ban.

Is there a certain stat level where they will no longer perm ban you and just wipe?

 

All of my level 3 mules were wiped, not one banned yet.

 

They know that banning the account will not stop the user. Their goals are to make as much money as they can and to remove as much RWT gold as possible. By letting the account continue to pay membership, as well as bleeding more gold out of the RWTer, Jagex accomplishes both goals, with no real downside.

Just a guess.

 

Did your level 3 mules have any stats and did they have membership at the time of wipe?

 

I've had two 7 year old accounts perm banned, level 130 and 105, long time members.

 

I've had one level 17ish banned, with 2 green masks and 2 red masks on it.

I've had a 36, 40, 28, 89, 85, and 136 wiped.

I think if you have a large supply of ITEMS they ban you, when it's mainly gold they wipe you.

I always store gp as rares on my main, which is a level 10 with no stats except 30 prayer. But they've never done more then wipe me for like 20m at a time lol, and they have wiped me 4 times.

 

Another important thing. To those of you that have received wipes.. have the accounts you received wipes on traded off the gp to a mule on the exact same ip and then from that mule transfered to customers? By this I mean your wipe account has NEVER been in rwt contact with a different ip.

To those of you who have been banned, were you making gp transfers to/from other ips directly from that account?
