How do I get my threads closed or deleted?

 

Lol, I posted this in your introduction thread earlier.

The quickest way to get a thread closed or deleted, is to find the first post of the thread and click the "Report Post" button in the top right corner of the post. This button is located above the users post count, and looks this like:



When you click this, a new page will load with a box, that asks you to include a reason for your report before you send it off. Just type something like "Can a mod please close this? Thanks", or "My question was answered - please lock", and send off the report.

It should be answered fairly shortly by a Mod who is working at the time, and will be deleted/locked as requested.

Yeah, and I tried what you said. I made this before you even replied. But anyway, I tried what you said and they have yet to do what I asked. This is really starting to disappoint me. This site seems slow to respond.

Reports are currently a little backed up, once a few of them fall behind, it causes a domino effect, please bare in mind we get about 5 pages of spam reports minimum almost per day, thats 100 reports;



Your report will be dealt with, Closing of a thread/deleting of a thread isnt one of our priorities when reports are considered since all it is is a cosmetic change rather than something harmful to the site

 

Would it kill you guys to make a request thread close section? People just make a thread and post the links of threads of theirs they want closed and you just do it?

 

I just PM a mod if I want a thread of mine closed.

 

What mod do you use? Can you send me the profile link please?

^Just go there to find a mod. Things take a bit of time and if it's an emergency, just PM a global. Otherwise, who cares. Just report it and wait.

 

Should be more active if there a mod. That's my point.

 

I just PM a Global normally, you can report as well. Either one works.

Just be weary that the mods can be a bit slow to respond to their PM's. Most of them have shitloads of PM's from all sorts of people, many of them about unimportant things, and so sorting through those than take awhile. Plus, they are usually dealing with Spam reports and all sorts of issues at the same time.

It sucks, but just report the thread, PM a mod of your choice (or all of them lol), and then wait. Not much else you can do really. If a thread lingers open for another few hours/day, is it really that big of an issue?

 

And you sound like a douche bag from just the few posts here, and the mods have no patience for that. You have to understand that they have lives also and that being a mod is a volunteer position, so they aren't going to answer your PM right away unless it is a huge emergency.

On other forum sites I'm on the response time is a lot faster. That is all I'm saying. Guys chill, just PM a mod, they will close/rename any thread you want regardless of your standing on the forum.
