RWT ban

A friend sent me this today. It was an account I gave him about a year ago. Funny thing is he's never done any RWTing and the account hasn't been botted on in months.

Update: Friend sent in an email, the account got reviewed by a J-mod and unbanned. I even saw the account logged back into the game myself.

 

Oh shoot, I better be careful since I actually rwt =/

Perhaps they finally investigated the change of ips on the account loggin?

 

this is acctually freaking me out because my mule as over 300M to restock my bots and my mule also does all the rwt sales....gahh

 

I have been trading gold from farmers/selling gold in bulk via direct trades on one account. I have never had any problems.

RWT Bans are quite rare; most gold sellers don't get any rwt bans.

 

He has never RWT'ed hmm? Maybe he was dicing or something and they seen all the gold being passed for nothing in return? I know so many people do that everyday but just a theory

 

What the fuck

 

1) you're friend most likely isn't being truthful
2) he was probably bragging about botting or selling gold to another friend who reported him
3) tons of sythe members rwt and this is the 1st ban thread ive seen so no need to panic...

 

Do you live close to this friend whom you gave the account?

 

Just bought 100m, most gold i've ever bought (by far), first time buying gold since ~06.

This scared me, then i realized i don't care enough to be scared. If they ban me, the guy will work with me in full to fight it, if we fail then i'll just start over and run more bots than normal to make up for it.

 

I'm not worried since I have about 500k right now, but I'm surprised about this.

 

Didn't saw an other RWT ban, he must be very unlucky.

 

I started drop trading scared of rwt but I think I'm going a bit over the top this is the first I've heard of someone being banned

That's strange i've never heard of anyone getting banned for RWT, and knowing it's been legit for the last few months makes it even more strange.

You say he didn't bot for months, but RWT and botting are 2 different things (even if botting kinda leads to RWT)

 

This is extremely rare to be honest. THis is the third case I have seen since free trade came out on sythe. I believe he has real world traded or isn't giving you the whole story. The other two people that got banned that I know about traded billions at one time.
I have a mule that I have used to trade over my rares and gold, its level 3 and still hasn't have any problems yet.
Wow straight up permanent ban though haven't seen that in a while.

 

He must have been doing something extremely detrimental to the game in order to get that ban.

His account could (probably was) have been involved in heavy bug abuse, scamming, hacking, etc.

All of those things are usually associated with RWT, and the way that those people go about obtaining their GP has a very negative/noticeable impact on the community they do those things against to obtain GP.

 

Wow if they are banning people my mains going to be banned i sold and bought alot of gold this week from rs2baby and sythe.

 

He was probably talking about it in-game.

 

Ive never been banned, RWT bans are hard to get as it is tough for jagex to prove that you are in fact rwt'ing.

 

Well what did you do that got you banned?

I have an account that was banned for RWT. I successfully appealed it though.
