Bumping Threads

Problems with too much bumping.
1- Postcountspam.
since bump deleting also has limits then it is obvious that there is another problem
that is
2- The reason you need so much bumping on busy section is because of the bumps to begin with, ( I am just saying that 24h bump rule makes less of a need to bump) agreed, there is still a need to bump, but allowing unlimited bumps will just make the section overactive.

And there is as nano pointed a simple solution to this problem which is already instated different limits to bumping with or without deleting

due to problem 1 the minimum time to wait between bumps should be 24 hours to avoid spam.
due to problem 2 the minimum time to wait between bumps should be the time it takes for a thread to go to the 3rd page.
In the busiest section it takes 1 hour to go to 2nd page and 3 to go to 3rd page.

one bump per 4 hour sounds reasonable in gold exchange and busy account sections.

 

I don't know if anyone's said this yet but, if no one is posting on your thread, it probably isn't worth bumping so often...

I think this every time someone rages that I've warned or infracted them for excessive bumping.

 

This is not always the case...

 

24 hours rule is good.

So I think it should be as it is, but if it differs by several hours, it should not be infracted.

For some people the forum can show that you made that post yesterday, but for some people it is still todays date, it is because of different time zones. And most of the people does not check when did they made the last post, they only check was it yesterday.

So for example :

A guy A makes a post on 12PM and on another day 8AM he sees that it was yesterday, so he reposts, 20 hours expired, I think it is okay.

Moreover, some people needs to leave to somewhere, they can not use their computer anymore on that day. I think it is okay when they bump their thread once per day on their timezone.

 

That's no where near the case in like gold buying section, sometimes gold selling, etc. Those sections get cluttered with scammers and the only way you can is to bump it sometimes. Especially in the middle of the day on a school day.

 

So should the bump limit be reduced in accordance to which section you're in? I could see it being a problem in sections like that, but anywhere else it really wouldn't be that helpful.

There are holes in your original post,
I suggest your patch the bucket before filling it up with water.

(Fix your original post to make everyone believe what you're saying before they have time to argue anything.)

State the points you've explained to others that have posted here, etc.
It'll make a much more valid argument.
