how to secure an account?

right so.
im going to explain a scenario

say this happens:

I buy an account. it's not got alot of time played on it but it's old, like 2002-2003 sort of old.
i have the recoveries and email registered to it.
i have some of the details like first few passwords and stuff but thats it

how can i make the account completely mine?
like, so that i can recover it without a doubt
would it work if i played ALOT of time on it, changed the password multiple times, and got membership on it multiple times?
like would that pretty much secure the account for me?

any way to make it safe for me too though?
obviously the original owner can always recover, but there must be some way to make it so i can always recover it as well?
on one of the accounts that i bought which was never recovered, i was able to recover it using the information i had after only owning it for about 2-3 weeks

if i played for a few months constantly on it and such would it make it so i can recover it, like the most time played on a certain IP or something?

ask jagex to do an account wipe on RS forums.

bump, this was my thread but yeah i got my sythe account back.
is there any way that i can completely secure an account to be mine pretty much, like make it so i'm able to recover it?

 

It's really hard to say 'cause the owner of the account can always recover it no matters what.

I was wondering if i played alot on an account and had alot of info for it if it'd be safe, safe as in i'd be able to recover it

Unless it is a bug in their system, no.
Your recovery priority will always be within the original owner and any other guy.
If the seller wanted to recover the account he will always have extra information that you don't know to recover and original location to win recovery.
And that wiping account on the forums is ridiculous.
