The kids obviously had some mental issues, they're only 12.
Now she's been jailed for a large portion of her life.
This wont help to rehabilitate at all, for kids that do something like this there needs to be some sort of mental counselling going on to help sort out the issues in their head.

Also, this is why children shouldnt be allowed on some areas of the internet....

It's pretty unlikely that they will serve their full sentence, they will probably see a psychiatrist, get put on meds, and be out before they turn 18.

 

How the fuck do you stab someone 19 times, leave them in the woods and they not die? That's the part that disturbs me the most what a couple of rookies.

They got their kid and iPad and a phone and left them be. Those are the only two good parents requirements anymore! Silly people thinking actual parenting is necessary anymore. smh

 

Thing is there was no Internet back then like there was today. So there was obviously something else influencing them both to do something like that.

The sympathetic/emotional parts of the brain have little activity. It's inherrant in some people just to have the make up of a psychopath. While most don't ever act out on it, it can be there, dormant, just waiting for when something clicks. I would guess that these kids have the psychopathic tendencies to start with. Then alongside internet, social media and so on.. there is a few straws on the camel's back which probably all contributed some way.

Why are twelve year olds playing Slendernan?

I was talking to some friends though and we came to the conclusion that these things will always happen, even without video games. The guy who killed John Lennon did so because he thought Holden Caulfield from The Catcher in the Rye told him to. Crazy people will always find crazy reasons to do crazy things.
