This topic actually helps. Forgot we even had a graphics section on Sythe. I am not the best at graphics but I have done many many amateur graphics. Maybe one reason I never posted around there. Will try to check the place out more often.

 

I think joke sigs like Lym's and Freakyhair's shouldnt even be allowed in, members votes get used on those as a joke, rather than seriously voting for the SoTW

 

i think its mainly because once someone gets their graphics they don't really have anymore use for that section which leaves the people who make them, alone in that section till new clients show.

Well, im new here and i love gfx so ill be as active as possible in that section ^_^

 

I used to love graphics, I would participate in SOTW but I know I would never win, as other people are a lot more skilled than I.

 

No one started out being great GFXers. Their skills gradually increased from practice. If you love doing it, do them! It doesn't matter if you're not good, you'll improve, I really hope you consider this and come to the graphics section! And, who knows, maybe one day you'll win one.

didnt read any posts so if this was stated sorry..

most ppl go their to buy/sell gfx so thats what most people think the section is for.. maybe have a sub forum inside gfx for actuall gfx deals idk... i dont peek at the section often but its a cool one and I love seeing good artwork so id be inclined to check out if they had sotws or 'lets see who can make the quickest so an so gfx' etc

 

What do you consider a joke signature? I don't think you'd feel very good if a signature in which you invested time in was denied entry because it was deemed a "joke". Like Wulf said though, ultimately the best in the eyes of the public will win.

 

I support this. I love GFX, just not very talented.
