i'm looking to start runescape, but of course i do not want to start fresh.

my friend is tellnig me that if i end up buying an account i could get scammed easily because no matter what, they could get their account back

is that true :s

and do you recommend it?

 

I would say use your money to buy RSGP and make your OWN account. Accounts are always recoverable, unless the person is trusted and not a dick.

Your friend is correct in saying that their are scammers in account trading, and you can never be 100% sure the account will stay in your possession once you buy it.

That is why if you don't have the time/willingness to start from scratch, buy an auth for PerfectFighter (a combat bot) and get your combat up that way. There are bots you can use to get your other skills up a bit to start you off, but I think PerfectFighter would be a good start point. It is the best combat bot you will find.

To stake (box) you only need to be combat 113 (99/99/99/99hp)
My estimate is around 2 months.. Give or Take

It's gonna take a pretty long time to get to 138. You'd have to get money for prayer and etc.
If you just want to stake though, it'd take around 2 and 1/2 months - 3 months to get maxed melee stats starting from 1. You might as well use Dungeoneering to get your stats up.


And yes, a lot of accounts sold here are recovered sooner or later.

 

You should just make your own account and buy some bots and learn how to bot from the forums.

And yea, no matter what you(the buyer) does, you can always lose an account that you bought, buying off a trusted member will lower the chance though.

 

you most definatly do not want to buy an account as you'r first account, thats a VERY bad idea you want to be able to get ahold of the game and understand it for yoursellf. i would recomend buying some gold mabye to get you started out, but dont rely on buying gold just to get you thrue rs, learn to make money yourself as well gl with starting runescape. I would reccomend buying an account from either a mod, omm, or extremelly trusted member that has lots of vouches. Non of these members will scam you. I hope I helped
