My two cents:
95% of the original post by Tyro was useless information. The whole Finn scammed in 2008 story is played to death, and people need to move on. However, these silly facts which have already been dealt with interfered with the underlying issue on the thread.
Finn's actions are often based on emotion and impulse. In certain instances these can be quite unprofessional. Everyone makes mistakes, no doubt, but he is a site leader and this is the Feedback forum to discuss such leaders. I think it is important for Finn to acknowledge that this is an area in his duties which needs some improvement. For someone who wishes to demonstrate leadership and professionalism, the ability to control one's emotions and make calculated decisions is a very important quality. I am sure that this will continue developing over time, and is simply part of the maturation process, but it does bother me and members of the community. I also do question his ability to handle and benefit from criticism.
Otherwise, I think Finn has done a great job in his position and has contributed more than a lion's share to this forum. I had the pleasure of serving on staff with him and many other of those involved in the administration team, and I can immediately attest to the fact that Sythe.org has always been committed to justice and fair play. These values are at the absolute core of our community, and to anyone who questions this, I can tell you that you are sorely mistaken.
Richard (Sythe) is a very unique character. This forum could easily be exploited for quick financial gain at the expense of inequality and disregard for the community. However, the reason Sythe.org has continued growing while all other websites have dwindled or cheapened is the integrity of its founder. We do not have a Watergate on our hands here, we simply have a Feedback thread which spiraled out of control.
