How to lure?

Anyone want to point me in a general direction?
How do people lure these days? 'Cause I remember back ages and ages ago before GE, people used to lure by dropping something just inside wildy and their target would pick it up, but they'd get barraged and k0ed by a main or so...
Obviously times have changed so I'm just wondering good methods at the moment

 

Still the same, i think people use one of those marker plants to stand under so its just a yellow dot they see, i think people are starting to cop on and bring telegrabs tho

where do people do most lures at? i dont see many outside of g.e anymore

 

They are patched now. You now appear on top of the marker, not underneath.

 

Someone tried to lure me into wildy north of monastery pretending to have a p hat for sale for GP.

I obviously didn't go in, but how did he think he could kill me 1 step into the wilderness before i teleported away or ran out? It was on a member's world.
