Hacked

I was hacked sometime from Fri-Mon and lost 200m+. My question is:

Is it possible to get hacked without being key logged or any viruses on my computer? My password was NOT changed. None of my friends know my pw. Even IF I was keylogged it would be impossible from them to know what my login was because I use osbuddy and it saves your login. My mind is boggled on this. Btw my E-mail was not compromised. I have NO viruses or keyloggers.

Any input?

 

It's possible yes, do you use the same username/password on any other sites? You could also have been phished. Doubt it has anything to do with OSBuddy.

 

I do not. The pw I had set on Rs is different than any other pw I have. Also the login is conpletely seperate than any other logins I have as well.

I above average with computers and I'm mind fucked right now lol. Losing the Gp sucks, but not knowing how they got in is even worse.

I did set an authenticator now however.

 

Maybe you could be ratted? That way they can still see your screen and get the username from OSBuddy

Run a free online scan with Kaspersky or sumtin of the nature

 

I'd definitely do a scan with malwarebytes and with hitmanpro. It definitely sounds like you've been ratted somehow bud. Give that a look, and if not, then you either got phished, or someone knows your info.

it's super possible and like said above maybe a phish, who knows .. just secure your computer that's the first step and change your PW

 

Sorry for your loss, yes it's possible, but OSBuddy is 100% safe so it has nothing to do with that.

 

It's just weird. I've been playing for over 10yrs and never have had a problem. I'm not blaming osbuddy by any means. It's a little odd how I won (tokenbets) the 200m on Thursday and then was hacked over the weekend. I've ran spybot-nothing avast-nothing. Is malwarebytes or hitmanpro any different from the programs I have ran to find my vulnerabilities?

Nah, they're pretty much the same. But some leak had to happen. Either you accidentally leaked the login or pw, or both. I've always been wary of osbuddy, but who knows. Any chance you've had past powerlevellers/questers on your account?

 

The only other person that's been on my account was about two years ago for a firecape through rsorder.com, but even when I had them do the cape I had changed the pw to a temp for them to do the service. No one else knew my current pw. I'm seriously mind fucked right now...

The only other thing I could think of is jagex wiped my wealth from the account because I received a large amount of gold from a gold seller, but then I didn't get a ban... Also they left junk from trading off the gold from my account.

One of my customers were also hacked, reported losing around 50M or so. He said he scanned his computer, and nothing came up.

 

That's odd. Somehow these hackers are getting in. Or they are hiding the source code VERY well? I'm drawing a blank.

No, and I accepted that was completely my fault, but it doesn't answer how they got onto my account.

 

Must of been a RAT. Like others that have posted, don't just scan using ONE anti-virus. Viruses can be crypted to hide from anti-virus software. I recommend get a trial of Symantec Endpoint Protection, and scan with that. Best anti-virus software out there. Don't say that you don't have any viruses after scanning with popular anti-virus software such as AVG, Mcafee, Malware-Bytes, etc. Just to make sure that it isn't a virus. Viruses can be such a pain to remove sometimes.

 

Thats really strange man, and sorry for your loss. If you think it may be rwt then why don't you ask bogla if any of his accounts got banned recently possibly in connection with this case. Doubtful though. I'm guessing a RAT. You sure you didn't put your pword in anything else besides osbuddy, and that it wasn't an obvious password at all?
