I have not been online in months, and was wondering - when and how did the 07 rares become released? Did they only release H'ween masks?..

 

They began theyre release in late may, early june as a result of polling done on the subject of rares.

These polls included methods to bring them back, their tradeable status, and whether or not to make them "rare" aka discontinued once dropped. So far, pumpkins, scythes, and Halloween masks have been dropped. However, they will not be discontinued because jagex went full retard. They made the poll require 75% to make them be rare. The poll only got like 72%, so now Jagex will have a constant stream of hweens and partyhats and every rare flowing in. The poll was also flawed, seeing as since rare items were ORIGINALLY rare, the poll should have required 75% to make them UNdiscontinued, but jagex DGAF and did it the wrong way, and never explained why. Over the next few weeks and months and actually, years, what used to be discontinued will rain down like free candy, and prices will just sink ever lower. FU jagex.

 

If this is true, I'm sure they will get lots of disappointing responses and eventually fix it.

 

This is Jagex we're talking about. They don't fix broken things, they only fix things that don't need fixing..

They took a vote on whether or not players wanted the rares to be discontinued, 64% voted to make them discontinued, and they decided to go with the 36% and made them continued

They actually fixed some broken things, but it took... well, few years.
