okay. so i get an email from jagex saying they think i participated in RWT.
i try logging in to my account but the password doesn't work. My password was NEVER given out to anyone, and ol'y ONE person besides myself knew the username. I sent a recovery that night before I went to bed and woke up the next morning to find my cash and all my items GONE. Oddly, my stats were okay (i was a def pure). I know 30m is not much, but i lost everything i had on that account, my only account, and have no means to purchase more gold.

well i'm pretty sure i didn't. this is what happened. i first got an email for jagex saying i've been infracted for macroing. i clicked it and signed in. it was legit. i checked my appeals and it said my macroing infraction had been quashed. i was happy. like 8 hours later i get an email saying i've been accused of RWT. i click the link to sign in, but the link didn't work. so then i typed in runescape.com manually, but when i tried to sign in my password didn't work

 

The first email you got was a phisher.

Yeah it's quite convincing, it's runeITE.com instead of runescape, there's another which is ruinscape.com, both very convincing, just be on the lookout for them.

Also, if anyone can answer this, please do. How the hell do they make it look like it is coming from Jagex Ltd. Support Team? I even click reply through my browser and it sends me there. I don't see how they can do that?

i got the same things, mine was even from a @jagex.com email address
its a scam, luckily i didnt click it.

make sure u change all your passwords and stuff just in case.

You guys are so stupid. Who the hell falls for this stuff nowadays? I have no sympathy for whoever gets phished, because if they're that dumb they shouldnt be on RS.
For future reference, look at the LINK. It's usually a . tk website..
