I still don't see anything that Josh0 was referring to in terms of malicious offsite activity, blackhat activity, etc. There still isn't anything here past a 1 month ban.

 

Can we see the rest of that chain? Hattez claims you start attacking him first for even warning you about it.

 

You keep saying actions over words, but when he tried to dispute:

You're just saying that line over and over to keep him from getting unbanned for you own sake, because you hold a grudge against hattez.

 

He did post it. That's what ultimately got him banned.

 

The rest of the chain was simply me threatening to ban him for withholding valuable information regarding the shitstorm that was still at the time ongoing (Which I never did)

Which, need I remind, is a 1 month ban for exposing personal info. He gave you the heads up in December - he didn't have to, he elected to. After alerting you of the situation, you responded "Snitch or be banned" (paraphrase). You say actions speak louder than words, this action should count as a plus in his favor. It's not enough to excuse what he did in your feedback thread, but it is a step in the right direction, and still not enough for a perm ban.

 

He also didn't have to post it 3 times. He could have got off scott free (relatively speaking) seeing as the first two times all I did was delete the posts.

He, and he alone, decided to push the envelope and continue to post it.

 

He did take it too far. No one is saying that his exposing personal info never happened, or that it was a good idea, or that he shouldn't have been banned for it. The reason people don't feel like he is being treated fairly is because you are applying a perm ban, no pardon chance for a 1 month offence. Even if you were to stack the offences (Three consecutive one month bans) he should still be unbanned by now.

 

I don't think you would want someone back that quick if they harrassed you to an extreme level of abuse.

 

this isn't about banning people based on your emotions and feelings toward them. thats why there are rules set in the first place.

 

No, I wouldn't. But, as a staff member, you have to learn to follow your own rules and be the bigger man. I don't necessarily think this qualifies as "harrassed you to an extreme level of abuse". Hattez wasn't the one who sent any of the leaked pics to family/workplaces etc.

 

Disagree, malicious means substantially certain to cause injury, being deliberately harmful or spiteful, without just cause or excuse. There are different types of malicious acts which are considered offenses. For example, malicious prosecution, malicious mistake, etc . A malicious act is an intentional, wrongful act performed against another without legal justification. If you were a witness the events I have you might change your tune.

N4n0 did NOT ban based on the rules in place, that is what this thread is about. The offence is a 1 month ban, not a permanent, unpardonable ban.
