Decrease Time Between Posts

The post creation timer should be reduced back to 30. A suggestion recently got approved that suggested the thread creation timer be extended, not the post creation timer. 90 seconds is just too long to wait between posts.

 

30 seconds seems like it would just encourage spamming though. 90 seconds really isn't that bad. It encourages longer posts + more thoughtful comments.

 

This is pretty annoying in the spam forum, and for people who go on a little posting spree but I can live with it.

Just had to wait 44 seconds to post this, ironic.

You've all got it wrong. My (now approved) suggestion was for the thread creation timer, not post count timer.

 

But its changed the post timer to 90 seconds.

 

That's not right. I'll drop Matthew a PM. The change was supposed to be for the the thread creation timer.

 

I support, I'd like it to if it went back down to what it was because I could have swore yesterday it was only 30 seconds. Not sure why it went up but I support it being brought back down.

 

Its just an error on the wrong timer being changed. Matthew should change it back shortly.

That's stupid logic. 90 seconds for posts is just ridiculous. You're telling me to get a life when you were on this site 24/7 a few months back making constant feedback/suggestion threads and getting worked up over stupid stuff? Kindly mind your own business.

On a serious note. 90 seconds seems a little excessive.

 

I was thinking this while I was posting in the Spam section of the forums... I had to wait 90 seconds to spam again?!

In reality if you're reading everything in the thread it should take between 45-60 seconds unless you're first posting all the threads in a forum or there are a minimum number of posts within said thread (3 posts).
