Market "Proof Warning"

No pictures.

This is obviously a huge problem in the market nowadays, and it constitutes for a good portion of all the reports in these subforums. 90% of the time, people don't bother to read the rules, so having a simple warning window before posting these threads (MAKING them read the rules) would result in significantly less work for market mods and a lot less reports to deal with as well.

This is a general idea of what I mean by "a warning window"

I could support this. It wouldn't be to much hassle for people who are going to post a thread, and it would probably give some newbies an "Ah ha" moment where they realize reading the rules would probably help.

 

I agree with x339, and I think this could be coupled with the new user automatic PM.

 

Definitely support, this would remove job to the moderators that constantly have to close threads and warn users that didn't read the rules.

 

Well when someone doesn't submit proof I close the thread sometimes infract. But when people say I can't upload proof it's a mystery to me why they even post.

 

Something like this would greatly reduce the number of spam we get. ehh, enough. I think this is a great idea for market section.

 

Agreed with everyone, Would be great to see a picture of what the item is instead of a ton of closed threads.

It's a reasonable suggestion, and it might help some newer users; I support.

I think a link to a guide relating to how pictures are posted should be included in the message.

 

This isn't a bad idea and I don't think it'll be too difficult to implement. I'll forward this up to Matthew and see what he thinks.

 

I feel that this should be implemented, but only to a certain degree.
For example: maybe this will show up for newcomers, but say after 5 threads in the market, it will be lifted.

 

i support this 100% but i dont know if an "immediate" 3 day ban is really the best thing maybe 1 day market ban or something 3 days seems a little excessive

 

I agree with Matthew, even though I hardly go into the market section I still think this would be very useful and time saving to everyone. This should be added to the 'to do list' after the forum is upgraded to VB4.

I would really be glad to see this implemented, I also feel the punishment is a little excessive.

As for the punishment, it's a placeholder haha. Nothing set it stone by any means.

 

3 Days is a bit harsh imo. But i agree with the whole concept of this idea.

 

I think it would be a great idea. It would save mods a lot of work
