Wow Gold for Donations to Sythe

Ive noticed we have a load of other donation sites like:

Runescape
Playerauctions
Paypal
Moneybooker/Gram

things like that why don't we have WOW, i know the Wow market is not as efficient as the Runescape market and i know the GP is easier to convert but i believe after the EOC a load of users are switching to the WOW server why not have a WOW donation implied

Just a thought i was having about donations thought i might bring it up and get some opinions, altho i play all WOW, Diablo, Starcraft and Runescape just thought it would be a good idea.

 

Someone is open to start accepting once they contact Matthew.

 

I may be wrong, but I don't think this would happen unless someone was keen enough to make a bond with Matthew and take WoW gold as donations. I don't believe the WoW market is big enough for anyone to do this, as it may be difficult to sell the gold.

WoW Gold is WAY to difficult to collect on a donation by donation basis. Gold would be confined on one realm and faction and often times it is hard to clear out stock on a specific realm and faction just because people there are not interested in gold.

It's much easier to do via RS just because gold you have on world 48 works on world 13 and so on, unlike WoW.

 

Ye i kinda was thinking that myself but it can be done right ? Just a load of work would have to be put in it, never know i could see our wow section growing. Maybe in the near future, well ill be looking for more feedback but i kinda see what you guys are getting too.

 

If someone trusted wants to open a bond with Sythe and start accepting WoW donations then sure. But as a few other people have said it is very complicated and it is easier just to buy some RSGP or swap your WoW gold for some RSGP and donate with that. The market in my eyes is too small to start a WoW donation service.

 

Just because the Market is a little small dosen't mean the donations have to be big, it can match the market a donation is a donation whether that be big or small. I know someone out there could have a little patience and start accepting it. I know if i was a mod i would take the time out and see what i can do to open up a WOW donation, it might expand the market a little become somewhat off of runescape a bit.

 

It's not really up to the admins. Unless admins themselves want to. It's up to anyone trusted who will accept it, that's it.

As Tux said, it would be up to a reputable member to start accepting WoW gold for donations. The staff currently don't collect any donations, just willing members.

I think it's a horrible idea to be blunt. I don't normally like to shut people's ideas down, but I could not see this working. Sure the person could collect the gold and send the money to Matthew, but then you've got someone stuck with a hundred thousand gold on a random account he has to pay for each month. Not to mention there is a possibility that the gold is from a low population no demand realm.

 

Couldnt u adjust the amount of gold per realm demand ?

 

Unless someone is going to offer to take the WoW gold in returns for a donation which I doubt due to the costs then I can't see this happening. Just sell your WoW gold to an online site?

This is something that a big gold seller would have to want got do, and unfortunately our only really big gold sellers are companies that haven't much to do with the site besides using the market.

Going to have to deny this suggestion because even though it may be a good idea, it would take somebody to step up and offer the service, which is something that we cannot control.
