Why wont jagex let me buy membership??

I bought an account last night, tried buying membership with that credit card that I used on my other account that was SWAPPED to get this one, and jagex wont accept my card! Any ideas?

 

Did you check if Jagex accept the type of card you're trying to use?
You double checked you entered everything correctly?
Did they give any reason for not accepting your card?

 

Yeah, it was a visa
Yeah, everything was in right :\ it was the card I used on the acc I swapped
They said it was declined by EITHER the card holder or our payment systems

 

And the card isn't limited and has the appropriate funds in yes?

 

What do you mean limited? It's a regular card that we use for everything if that answers it. & Yes it has the money in it

 

I meant limited as in has your bank put a limit on it of any sort, have you tried using the card again with it?

 

No, and no I havent

 

It might be because you used it for another account, just go to the store and buy some membership that way if you keep having trouble.

 

Ok, well try the card again and see what happens. If it gets declined again, you could contact Jagex billing support and ask if it's them that is declining it.

I think you have to sort of un-link it from your previous account.

 

Brandon just go to a gamestop and buy a 30 or 90 day card for membership. However, I'd say buy 30 days just incase the person you traded with recovers the account.

 

I can't figure out what it is, but I can't buy anything from Jagex at all unless I use Pay by SMS or a game card. It happened after I upgraded like 10 of my own accounts with my credit card; ever since then (over a year ago) they decline my eChecks, Paypal, credit cards, prepaid cards, you name it. And it's not just on my own main; I can't use these methods on any of my computers, for some reason. Even from a different state, I've tried and failed. >_<

You probably have the same ban on your account/IP/something, too.

this happenes to me all the time. like kero said i can only use his options. idk y but its bs they take the money out and put back in a week. ive talked to them and all they can say is its declined by their system. talked to the bank and its not my side.

 

Best thing to do is check with your bank and ask them what is going on.
I've had a card declined before because the bank entered my middle name wrong on their side of operations but its a quick fix if you take in the appropriate information. Go to your local branch to see what the problem might be, and if your self-conscious about telling them its for a game just tell them online shopping.
