Michael Jackson's Doctor, Conrad Murray's trial has ended and the verdict was guilty. Just wondering your views on the whole trial and whether you thought he was guilty/not guilty.

1 dead 1 in jail, sounds like just another day in Baltimore to me.

    He got what he deserved.

Oh here's the thread. I posted one in general, damnit :(.

Oh well, I think the whole things shady. Too much of a popular demand... and everyone is biased towards Michael =/.

He was convicted of involuntary manslaughter not murder, so therefore he wouldn't get 25 years+ in jail.

I disagree. If anything, it was suicide.

Hard to say, definitely some bias involved somewhere. My own thought is guilty for giving those drugs to begin with leaving him unattended.

Why are people treating Michael Jackson as some sort of "saint"?

Four years is a maximum, he's most likely getting 1-2 years, there's even potential for less than one year of jailtime.

The defense didn't poke enough holes in the prosecutions' case to show reasonable doubt. Michael Jackson committed suicide, but the defense did not try their best to show it. According to the jury's verdict, the prosecution did a better job to show that the doctor involuntarily killed him. This case was about who could show their side of the story best.

Anyone born in Michael's prime worships him. Unless they found a jury of 18 y/o metal heads who worship Ozzy... they're unlikely to have not had a biased judgement.

That is true, I think his sister's push for this caused an innocent man to face jail time. In this circumstance, they wanted someone to suffer.

from what i saw on the news, the case wasn't about if this was a 'good guy or bad guy' or if MJ was suicidal, it was that the dosage prescribed by the doctor was too much?

MJ's previous doctor quit because he was being offered large amounts of money to prescribe unnecessary pain killers.

I'm not too surprised this doctor was charges with manslaughter but yeah i really feel bad for him, it would be so tempting to be in his position.

The trial went for so long i wouldnt be suprised if the Doctor commited suicide himself, he looked suicidal everytime they showed him.

Guilty, but shouldnt be punished severely.
