The great things about "Last logged in from"

Although I dont believe him at all, if you had his full name you could easily look in the phone book because odds are that he will have the same last name as his parents listed phone number and with some luck current address as well. Like I said, its possible but I guarantee this didnt really happen. The kid couldve easily called the cops and said OP tracked him down and threatened him for allegedly stealing a runescape account which he could easily deny.

I find this highly amusing.

My brother found the sheet on which I keep all the records of my accounts, recovered this, the only account I have ever SOLD.
Nothing was taken, I believe he just moved you around and changed the password. I sincerely apologize for what he did. I don't want to be known as a scammer.

You never came to my house. I'm not listed in the White Pages, neither are my parents. I also have a different last name to them.
I don't live anywhere near Melbourne, if that really is your true location.

I have bought more than one account buddy, Although i did just realise today that you had recovered it. Mind mailing me the account back that'd be sweet.

I've just been informed that this thread wasn't about me after I assumed it was. Which is slightly awkward because an account I sold him was recovered recently.

I helped him get it back, told him why it was recovered and generally reconciled.

but yeah basically something of this sort happened too me, bought an account from a "friend" in real life, he moved a few states away, his parents ended up divorcing and moving back too the exact same house...

so yeah i saw him mobbin around town on his scooter, its a nice $300+ good scooter haha, and jacked him for that and made his bitch ass walk 20 miles home and still got the account back... basically just shuving them quite hard usually jogs sense into them or a good knee too the stomach ... its the little shit like that, thats entertaining

The situation is unlikely. It is plausible but the reality of it is minimum. The IP address pinpoints an exchange. The chances of you actually living in the area are only likely if you live in a capital or a very high populated place. Even if you do live in a capital or a high populated place, the chances of finding the correct person is so slim its not worth trying. You probably bashed the wrong person.

Imagine the situation:

Thief: Are you the guy that recovered my runescape account? *Holding baseball bat in hand*
Other Guy: Yes...

AGAIN, Ip addresses only locate their region, using information collected from the invoice i sent via paypal and his details on his email I was able to locate him using the Australian White Pages in Melbourne. Which yes, Is highly populated. And no, I was nice about the whole situation. The chance just made the story one in a million.

Pretty sure you need to be over 18 to have a PP account in AU.
He's used he's real name for PP.
Searched his IP to get a general location.
Looked up his surname with the white pages online or in the phone book.
Cross checked the address to the approximate IP location.
