Muted - WTF!

Well earlier at the Grand Exchange, I was goofing around and talking to a group of dicers and asking a few of the guys if they wanted to be my RS gf, change into a female at the makeover mage and then follow me around RS while I did quests and tell me how manly I am etc.

It was stupid of me yeah, but I was totally kidding! And a bunch of people were joking around with me and we were having fun. I logged out for about 4 hours to go homework and come back and I am muted This HAD to be what got me muted, as I can't think of anything else I would have done today that would be considered "breaking the rules". There is no evidence whatsoever of what warranted the mute, it simply says I will be unmuted in 2 days.

This is my first mute ever, in like 10 years of playing RS off and on, so I am a little shocked. I am a heavy talker too so I can't imagine not being able to talk for 2 days on RS lol.

How many of you little fuckers have been muted for trying to get some pussy at the GE too?

 

I got muted a while back from someone reporting me after an argument...of course they got themselves muted too, which made it all worth it...

Jagex will never allow that to happen again and it explains why they take it seriously. But Yeah its stupid if your fooling around but you have to think about the worst case scenario if your tallking to a Pedofile

 

It sounds like a p mod muted you. Especially if you were by a dice clan. A lot of clans higher p mods to mute rival dicers (i have been muted several times by corrupt mods) and you usually end up getting unmuted after about 12 hours.

 

I have and I can confirm it was a pmod who muted you. Typical of them to abuse their powers.

 

Isn't it a 48 hour mute? The only dice clan that I know of that has Mod rivals is Dragon dyce.

 

Yeah it's 48 hours if they actually have something against you. But if they just mute you for no reason, which a lot of the time is the case with corrupt mods, then it won't stick for the full 48 hours. And tons of dice clans have mods, they just don't tell anyone because it makes them look bad.

 

Mods aren't aloud to dice/host , if they do. They will instantly get demodded. But meh , Mods don't do anything anymore that benefit runescape anymore unlike back in the good old days

I dint say they were allowed to host. They don't host or do anything with dice. Their just hired to mute people that they get told to mute.

 

Yeah I have actually seen that story before on Youtube and it makes sense, hence why I suspect that is what got me muted. But still... a little over the top if you ask me. It was an obvious joke, especially obvious with the flock of dudes that were running up and making jokes about changing into a female to be hired as my hoe. There was not 1 female around from what I can remember. Fuck Jagex man! Or the corrupt player mods, whoever muted me

And yeah I don't remember seeing one in the area but its very possible that it was a player mod. If the mute suddenly gets uplifted in a few hours I would be very happy, but it seems to say that I have been muted for a whole 2 days. But if it was a player mod, that would make sense why there was no evidence in my inbox, or even anything showing an offence. The green bar on the pillar is at 0%.

 

My worst mute was for something hilarious. It was two days, but my appeal worked:


This was back during the censorship on RS. And I went and said to some of my friends, Dave #1 Jew. I'm Dave, and I'm jewish.

Logged out for about 20 minutes, come back, and im muted.

My appeal was something along the lines of:
Wtf this is racist! I paid money for membership and now you racist assholes muted me because I'm jewish! This is horrible! I've never once seen a temple on RS all I see are churches. This is seriously messed up. Whatever, I don't care cause I'm still the #1 Jew.

About 8 hours later, I was unmuted .

I did a while ago, just jacking around though. Then I got one for making derogatory comments about blacks, jews, mexicans, and the like.

 

I asked if anyone had a gf alching, and got muted the next day because I asked that.

 

I feel like it's because they think i t can lead to more intense relationships. Hell, I'll be the first to admit I met a girl on Runescape when I was like 13 and we sent nudes of each other and had a pretty intense relationship outside the game. But yeah, I think they wanna stop things like that.
