A first girlfriend?

Hey guys.

I'm just posting here because I've been recently thinking alot about when my first girlfriend is going to happen (i'm 15). I believe that getting into a relationship will help stop my long hours of computer usage, and will better my life overall. Only problem is, I have no clue how to ask girls out, talk to girls ect. I don't feel that i'm really ugly or anything, but I just don't understand why alot of my friends have girlfriends and I don't. I don't want to have a girlfriend and it be sort of forced (as in having a GF for the sake of having a GF) I just really badly want a girlfriend to spend time with and have fun with. Currently, at my school I have 1 real friend, the rest I sort of hangout with at school but never out of school, but I am moving schools next year which I am really looking foward to. Is it normal to not have a girlfriend by 15? (lol wow I got really offtopic in that paragraph)

You could get a girlfriend. I wouldn't say it's not normal to have a girlfriend by your age, I mean a lot of other kids get preoccupied with other things in life. You have to start off by meeting girls in order to get a girlfriend. The new kid thing always seems to work very nicely. No one knows anything about you, and you can be anyone you want. It's rather fun, everyone takes notice and tries to figure you out. Just casually get to know people, and you should or will fall into a group of friends. You're probably just better off waiting to get a girlfriend or searching for one until you go to the new school.

 

there's no need to be uncertain of yourself, and I personally had my first girl a few days before I turned 17. After that I've had a few girls per year, didn't fuck any of em yet tho

Not really ugly, nothing that special either IMO.
Just roll with it, it's nothing hugely important, at your - or any age in fact.
As for talking to girls, find a girl you're interested in and just talk to her, what's the worst that could happen? If it's natural, and you click then it's your best possible opportunity.

 

Your good enough looking to get a girlfriend, just not set too high of standards (don't set up for failure).

Best thing you can do is talk to 3-5 girls at once, keeping the door open to them all until they mess up and go with the one who you like the best, and if it doesn't work out, you have a back up plan .

 

Arcus is right, If you just want someone to spend time with, you need to float around. Don't set your sights on one girl, there's no reason too considering this thread isn't about you asking out someone you already like.

The more girls you talk to, the higher the chance of you going out with one of them. An easy way to start this off would just to ask one of them to a school dance, or go to afterparties at your school ( We have them after football games ).

I think the main point is getting used to girls in general. Now i know there are hundreds of girls in school and well it's not that bad as it seems. They are normal humans just like you, no need to get all nervous about. Starting simple conversations with some is great. A thing that helps most kids be more social around girls is group projects/sports/groups etc. im not saying to do something you dont like but if you're in any groups try to be as social as you can . It just all takes time . Don't go out looking for a specific person, just let everything go with the flow. If you feel that your looks are a little out of the ordinary, try changing your style up a bit. You have what it takes to get a girlfriend , you just need to be more social from what it seems. Take some time off the computer and ask your friend to hang out at a park or something.

What works for me is to smooth talk the girl on Myspace or Facebook first, then you go and once you get them thinking your all sweet. Then you talk to them at school and slowly progress. That worked for me. I just moved to a new school and already have a new girlfriend. So just try it bro.

 

I'm in the same boat man... I think I'm decent looking, but socially awkward when talking to women and I'm not very confident when doing so.

 

You're never getting laid if you keep going like that.

 

Just start talking to girls. Girls like men who are spontaneously and straight forward.
They also like men who take action and don't wait too long.. they will just see you as a friend.

Start going to parties, get to talk to some girls here and there. Don't be too into them, never give a girl everything you've got. Talk to them a bit, but make it seem like you're only a bit into them, don't look at them for two long but stay focused on them the whole time. The think about girls is, if you fuck with their heads, they'll start to like you. Find a girl and start talking to her, talk to her constantly for say a week. Then leave her alone for 2-3 days. Then pick it up again, be flirty at points and be a dick at other times. It's all a mind game, the more you mess with a girl the stronger her attraction will be to you. Also, finding a girlfriend isn't easy, some girls are just as into what guys are, hooking up once or twice and leaving it at that. Just make sure you don't rush into anything.

 

You're a good-looking guy, so you shouldn't have to worry too much about getting a girlfriend. And I hope you don't want a girlfriend just because you feel like you need to follow the bandwagon. It's about having a connection with someone that you care about. If you be yourself, and try to keep your chin up, the right girl will come in time.

Also, I find it interesting that many people say "opposites attract." For me, this is the farthest thing from the truth. I think it's easily to get along with someone who has similar interests (music, food, books, movies, etc.).

But the first thing you should do, is start talking to some girls that you're interested in, and figure what qualities of women you like.
