Eliminate Upgrades From Pin Lines

What I propose is eliminating the upgrades from pin lines. Pin lines sales are already illegal on Sythe, but I assume deals just happen on MSN. Pin lines are extremely illegal. When using a pin line, (from my understanding), the owner of the phone line, is getting charged all of the payments that are coming from it. That could literally destroy's somebody credit, lives, etc. You would be charging thousands of dollars to innocent people's phone bills, just for your own benefit.

All of the big upgrade sellers on Sythe use pin lines for their upgrades. I know that might kill upgrade sellers, but you have to think about the bigger picture. If any of the members on here were the victims of a pin line, you'd be singing a different tune.

Of course this would kill some people on here's jobs, but their already breaking the law. I don't think Sythe should encourage illegal things. On alot of things, it doesn't.

It just makes Sythe look bad, when people actually think about it.

I honestly can't think of a single reason to keep upgrades from pin sales around other than the benefits from the ugprade sellers that use pin line upgrades.

I don't think PBP, SMS, Etc upgrades should be eliminated entirely. I just think you should have to prove that your actually doing it legit.

 

Support, it is against the law. Most things that are illegal also aren't allowed on Sythe.

 

Support. Pine Lines are against the law and I was convinced they had been ruled out since the last update in regards to PINs but obviously not.

 

No legit upgrader has a reason not to support this, but how would it be moderated? (maybe if a person is trading an upgrader and they give them a code that isin't a runescape gamecard then it could be reported.)

I support this, but the thing is the staff are going to come in here and say "We don't ask them where they get their upgrades from." It all comes down to what Karl said in IRC once. If you eliminate pin lines then you take out the pin market which drives away people that will donate, so as long as the members come and donate it doesn't matter is pretty much what I got out of it.

I'm not sure how accurate your statements are, I think we need a comment from somebody who actually like knows about this, since I have been told by numerous people that the Telecommunications company pays, and if they don't then nobody does. I don't think this PL's should be eliminated btw, the upgrade market would suck then, thus causing some people to choose not to come to our forums since they find it hard to find an upgrade seller

 

Just nobody has to pay for it. The money just doesn't vanish ya know. If the phone bill owner doesn't have to pay it then the company does. If jagex refunds, you'd go into negative credit and it'd leave them dry. Somebody does indeed have to pay it..

 

Support, this could be implemented by any person wanting to start an upgrade service they have to prove their method of obtaining the upgrades first, any single sales can be ruled out of the equation because it'd be too much work keeping up with single upgrade sellers.

 

Support, of all the upgrades I've sold to people I charge more but that is because I only buy legit cards from the store. I don't see how Sythe condones this still, and shuffles it under the carpet. I know if my phone bill hit thousands of dollars I'd be screwed.

Stealing is stealing bottom line and it needs to stop. It makes this community look bad and makes me ashamed of Sythe.

 

Support, I think people should need to buy membership cards and sell them here.

This was discussed for 547 pages 45364 times and upgrades are a HUGE part of our market, like it or not they will most likely stay forever.

We aren't breaking the law in any way, shape or form.
