My best friend

So, lately, I have been thinking my best friend has been using me for the past few years. I have always been the "hook up" guy, who can get any amount of booze, or any drug needed.

The past year, my best friend, nels, has acted like a great friend, but when we hang out, about half of the time, he asks if I have weed, beer, etc. When I say I don't, he's chill about it, and doesn't bitch. But, when I do, I ask him to just spot me some cash, but it never happens. Im not the type of person that likes to demand money from people, so I have been letting it go. All of this has mainly been happening since the beginning of summer.

So, nels, likes to have small parties at his house on quite a regular basis. But, it seems like he only invites me when I have booze or bud. He'll ask if I want to party it up at his house, and then ask if I could bring anything, which I usually gladly said yes.

Since college started though, I been carpooling with one of his good buddies, and he was telling me about all these other parties he has had that I never heard of. Thing is though, at these parties, he invites this kid, Matt, which he almost ALWAYS has some sort of booze or weed.

A month ago, my friend that I carpool with told me that they are going up north to party it up with Matt this weekend, and it seemed like he thought I was invited or something. So, when I dropped Nathan off (carpool kid), Nels was there to pick him up, and it seemed like he felt on the spot to invite me, but I said I can't, mainly cuz I was super high right there. He then asked if i had any bud on me, which I said yes, and sold him about $5 for him to smoke. Interesting thing is, he invited my friend Evan...he has always been my hook ups for weed, and nels isn't really friends with him, and when nels got the bud, he told evan that he cant have evan go anymore. (I found that out from nathan, my carpool buddy). Interesting huh?

So, if you read all that, I am wondering, what should I do? Nels texts me every weekend asking where the party is at, because I always know where a party is going on...and if I dont invite nels, he gets all moapy and shit. The last 2 parties, nathan knew who was throwing them, but wasn't invited, and nels tried to invite himself by calling the person who was having the party, which nels got rejected.

So, should I tell nels what I feel? I HATEEEE users, and every user, i have told to fuck off, never giving them a chance. But, i have known nels for 13 years now...best friends. This happened about a year ago, and I talked to him about it, but it seemed like it just started back up. So, I have already given him a chance. Anyways, thanks for any tips that come in

 

Just stop giving him shit and see what happens. If he ditches you, then he's not worth your time.

Try going to the parties and don't bring anything and see how he changes. If he doesn't even invite you then I'd bring it up to him and talk about it with him.
