Any botter banned yet?

 

I don't thin loads of people got banned.
I think they have just shut down meny bot makers from updating and making scripts.

 

funny how theres only 35K people online..

 

what happened with the nuke bot day? this is a huge thread id rather not read it all.....

what did they do?

When i logged on there were only 1300 people in world 2...Jagex have probably lost a good 100+ members.

 

I know a fair few who've lost major bot farms in both f2p & p2p.

i think they've lost around 50k subscriptions. Bot farmers use multiple account when real player only have 1-2 members accounts.

 

I received this to my private email from Jagex. This email is linked to my main account that has been botted on before.

 

I don't think they would sue you for botting, it's really hard to prove that you actually damaged their property, especially when it's a game lol...

 

I'm not saying they are. I am just posting this for the thread.

You know that botters will be back if the developers can get around the update. If the botters come back, this basically states Jagex can sue you.

 

Lmao Jagex a smart company? They are trying to get rid of bots..... Yet if they do they will lose tons of memberships. They will make less money. They think they are helping EVERYONE and they are not. If we pay to play there game why can we not play it in the way we want to? I understand people are pissy they cant go and kill monsters ingame like they want to, green dragons big deal go kill something else, switch worlds. Honostly if they get rid of bots then prices are going to rise and ppl will complain they cant afford shit again!

Also jagex a smart company? LMAO they have been talking about a game stellar dawn they are making for years, and they scraped there shit from mechscape saying it would be better. Yet they havnt talked about the game in a year and it was suppose to be released this year. JAGEX FAILS!

 

Botters WILL be back, they have never been able to take bots down. They have tried several times!

Also the threats they are sending out about suing you for 200-2500 bucks wont stand in court! they are trying to scare you! You think they will be able to show you are damaging there game by botting? When they will delete/ban your character for it and then make you start over? It is hard to sue on virtual property when they can implement as much of whatever they want int o the game! If it were true then they would have big gold farmers like Gold4Fun shut down already. The big botting websites would also be shut down. They are throwing threats at the players trying to stop them from buying/using bots to play the game hoping they will so botting websites and gold farming websites lose there money therefore not being able to pay for the services they provide shutting that down.

 

You can't be 100% sure. If they can prove it, in any way, they have legal grounds to sue you. That is all I am saying.

 

1. Not everyone likes botters. Most of the people just like the game.
2. Stellar Dawn will come out in January 2012.
3. By suing people who're botting they'll earn the lost cost of their membership
4. If they don't take hard on botting in RS Jagex will get a name of a failed game company, no one wants to play anymore, no income. (Upcoming games)

I'm sure this are the right strategics to run a million dollar company.

 

Were is this january release date you speak of, They have had more then 1 release date they have failed on.

Also if they could sue an individual they would be suing Gold4Fun and them websites that they havnt been able to close yet. All im saying is they are just making threats they will not be able to back
