Looking for the SCARIEST movie...

I'm going on a date this Sunday, I wanna pick the scariest movie since it will be one day before Halloween, it will be the perfect time

However, I need your help, only people who have watched it before or have a slight clue about the previous sequels/movies can post, please share your opinions about what do you think is the scariest

If you haven't watch the movie before, you can feel free to post too, but please post topics relevant, and clearly state whether or not you have watched before

dont be afraid of the dark isnt that scary paranormal activity is apprently scary but none of the trailer is in the film

the trailer to dream house doesnt look scary but in my opinion you should go watch paranormal activity 3

 

I heard from friends that paranormal activity 3 has been one of the creepiest movies they have seen. So i'd recommend getting netflix and watching paranormal one and two then going to see 3 in the same day ;D

I would go for The Thing, or PA3. I watched PA3, and it had it's moments, but nothing to bad. Never seen The Thing, but my mate said it was more frightening then PA3.

 

I heard it's like the sequels of it, so if someone hasn't watched 1 and 2, they won't get 3 right, like as in scared the crap out of them?

you have to watch 1 and 2 to get the 3rd one just get her to sleep at yours or come to yours earlier that day, watch them then go to cinema and watch 3rd one *cough* use a condom *cough*

Everyone keeps saying Paranormal 3, but while I was away from the forums, I did a little research about the reviews and found this:

Safe link, it's just a review site, and there were LOTS of negative reviews though, saying the movie sucked, my girlfriend is actually the type of brave and adventurous, so do you think she will actually be scared lol?

 

The Paranormal series is pretty scary, but then again I'm a baby when it comes to the horror genre...

 

Check out Rotten Tomatoes, they give decent ratings and reviews.

Go watch saw 1 - 7 serious its pretty scary and interesting.

the other 2 paranormal activities were boring and quite dumb imo so thats out
HAven't seen dream house so unsure.
and the thing the old one wasn't terrible for what it is so it might be worth seeing.

 

Insidious is a pretty good jump-out-of-your-seat flick that won't make you wanna throw up from a ton of gore unlike Saw/Hostel...

 

Out of those you listed I've seen Paranormal activity 3 and The Thing. I had never seen a Paranormal Activity and I thought the that PA3 was pretty scary, but the people in the theater were screaming like a bunch of little girls and it kind of ruined the movie. I didn't like the Thing very much, and I don't think it's worth seeing.

That's what i consider a good horror, these gore movies are full of violence but aren't scary, they completely miss the point.
