Jagex - "98% of all bots banned" [1.5M banned accounts]

Rsbuddy while probably be fine as its not a reflection, but I'm quite sure when they say they will eliminate 98% that still leaves 2% which I reckon will be premium bots, however they won't ban many members as they want the moneys of members, they just state it and worst comes to worth porbably a couple of members will get "macroning minor", but its just to keep the legit kiddies happy

 

Permanent is a really bad word to use. It's not going to be permanent. If it is, people will just switch from reflection.

too bad i'm gona have to legit 99 mine/smith now...

oh well, i doubt fagex will kill all the reflection bots... it'll just be a bit of a mass ban

plus if u remember last announcement they made a week or so ago, it sounded kinda desperate asking the players to report more and to help out by not buying, kinda sounds more like fagex is outnumbered, overwhelmed, and outgunned

They probably just want to see how much of their players are bots because almost no bots will play that day lol. I will still be 24/7ing soul wars or dung

 

So are there more bans to come? So far I'm safe.. but if there are more bans to come then I'm worried lol

 

Just to back up what poopy has just said, Just this second my f2p ess bot has been permed but my main is still running strong.

 

I believe that they'll find a way to stop "reflection" bots, but they'll NEVER find a way to stop bots completely. RSBots especially has quite obviously talented scripters, and they'll surely find a way to script a bot that doesn't use the reflection method, and bypass all of Jagex's attempts to stop them. Jagex can't ever win the "war" on bots, and frankly I think that this whole "war" on bots is a bluff on their part, as they know bots make them a fair amount of money, as well as keep their player count in tip-top shape.

To be honest - I think they've realised that it's not exactly impressive to new players when all training spots they see are filled with bots. Players that get hooked stay for years.

 

I'd honestly like to hear from those who have actually got hit by that 1.5M ban wave. I've yet to hear from anybody that's actually been hit by it.

 

deffinitly not true statistics.... f2p have it harder of course but i'll go bluff

 

My F2p bots got hit, my P2p bots are still going strong.

From the looks of it they're just cracking down of F2p characters, the accounts that bring them no income whatsoever.

I'm actually nervous. Hopefully nothing happens to my accounts. I usually don't care about the RS updates, but I'll be xfering all my cash onto a mule the day before .

 

This should be interesting to watch.

 

If this is true, this will be the greatest update jagex has ever put in the game. Runescape will almost be back to what it was in the old days.

None of my P2P bots have been banned either, I don't bot F2P
