Does Jagex Care?

A Mod got demoted: ex-pmod named "Jiblex"

He got demoted for making a video concerning how bots are expanding throughout runescape and how jagex isn't doing anything to ban them

Do you think Jagex cares anymore?

 

NOPE. They don't like when their Mods talk bad about them or else they get DEMODDED.

Something weird that I never hear about is this:
Jagex could easily be a partner to every bot and rsgp site and make mad cash off of that. They ban and fight free bot users and sites who aren't their partners, etc. Thoughts?

Didnt they catch RSBot? I went on the site earlier last week and it said property of Jagex.

I dont think they are doing all that they can to stop it. Which is good for the botters like me.

 

This is old news...and yes, they care, just not as much as before.

 

RSbot is still around under then name of powerbot, Jagex just took control of the site domain but the bot is still around.

 

Jagex cares DEEPLY about bots. Without them they would lose a lot of money, so they care a lot about keeping as many P2P bots around as they can ;-)

 

So true. If they could somehow stop bots they lose over half there members if not more

 

Dude, they never did care. The sole purpose of many companies is to make profit, and that's what they're doing right now..

 

P2p bots pay their wages, they care enough to keep up appearances to occasionally slap someone on their wrists

 

I think Jagex only really cares about the money.

They are a very large company and the majority of their income comes from Runescape, with the majority of monthly subscriptions being paid to sustain the bots, or by the players who play Runescape and buy RSGP from the goldfarmers. As long as the circle continues, I highly doubt Jagex will do anything big about the bots. They make too much money off of it to care.

Well, yes, but their attitude of not fighting cheaters and crappy updates isn't good for their long term profits.

Would you buy the next Modern Warfare/Halo/Battlefield if the makers announced they wouldn't stop auto aim, hacking, bug abuse etc?

 

i dont think jagex cares about bots at this point in time i think they are more working on updates at this time an not careing about bots atm but im an sure after they get done with all there updates that they will do a mass ban again like they have been doing over the past year or so they kinda let the bots go so they can update an then mass ban to cut them down a lil bit then let them go an ect

so if your asking if jagex cares about bots as of right now i dont not think they do but im sure here in the next few months they will go back to caring again because other wise if they just say they dont care about them at all anymore then im sure bot useage will skyrocket an that will cuse alot of issues for jagex to deal with

 

yes they care, care about keeping bots in the game but still keeping the game stable and the non cheating community happy or believing.

 

they care a lot less than they used to..

 

@OP, it's Jiblix not Jiblex.

They posted a news on the 11th saying they're fighting bots, but i guess that's just to make legit players happy, and to scare botters.

 

That news post against botters is just propaganda, and I'm pretty sure that whole episode with "jiblix" was because he was "defaming" Jagex. Plus I remember the mass flame war on that RAF update sticky, anyone who even mentianed his name got their post hidden or even temp banned.
